The universe of my painting is inhabited by objects and images that I find in my travels. I am in a continuous movement in this real world, being aware of the hidden meanings that are found behind the visible. Those are transposed in my paintings. The color is extremely important for me. And it can be seen in my latest works that I am fascinated by red and black – colors full of lust, energy, that have something magic in themselves. Even though I am using the real things, towards which I am ceaselessly relating, nevertheless I am not making a painting that is recording this world. I attempt to rediscover the identity of the person in this disturbing universe. When I am painting I am withdrawing from this troubled and conflicted world and try to render fragments collected from my memory in my works.
